Q: What does CAV stand for?

A: Under previous management, the company was known as Cape Advanced Vehicles. It is now referred to only as CAV.

Q: How do I order a CAV GT?

A: You can place an order through our website or contact your nearest distributor/dealer. If there are no distributors in your area, please contact the CAV GT manufacturers in Cape Town directly. We will guide you through the process.

Q: Is there a waiting list for the GT?

A: Each CAV GT is individually built and considered to be the finest recreation of the GT40. As a result, the demand for the CAV GT is high and we do have a waiting list. To get an accurate indication of time schedules and waiting periods, please contact Auto Futura directly.

Q: How long can I expect to wait for my car from the time I place an order to the point of delivery?

A: The waiting list will be a determining factor. However once the car is on the production schedule, the CAV GT has a 3-month manufacturing cycle from the time the chassis has been made, to the point at which it is signed off as a complete car ready for shipment. Shipping time varies according to the destination. On average, you are looking at 5 weeks, including docking time.

The following guidelines apply to the USA and UK:
USA – East coast, 3 weeks; USA – West coast, 6 weeks; UK – 3 weeks.

Q: How much does a CAV GT cost?

A: The CAV GT provides the best value and quality available on this type of vehicle. Prices vary significantly from car to car depending final options specifications. We recommend that you submit a price enquiry form to receive an individual quotation.

Q: Can the cars be financed?

A: Yes, in most cases financing options are available. You local dealer/distributor will assist you in this regard.

Q: Where will I find parts for my CAV GT?

A: This varies according to the car part you require. Auto Futura, Cape Town will be able to provide the part or will point you to a supplier in your area.

Q: Where do I have the car serviced?

A: Maintenance and service should always be done by a dealer or service agent appointed and approved by Auto Futura. These agents will have the right training, documentation and tools to do the best job. They will also liaise directly with Auto Futura, Cape Town to ensure up to date records and service is maintained.
